Captured on the Reykjanes Peninsula, this photograph reveals the raw surface of a geothermal landscape shaped by heat, minerals, and constant transformation beneath the ground. Here, the earth is far from still, it shifts, fractures, and stains itself with the chemical traces of its own activity.

From above, the terrain takes on an almost painterly quality. Streams of iron-rich deposits spread in deep reds and burnt oranges, merging with cooler tones of grey, white, and blue. Fine cracks and flowing lines cut through the surface like veins, tracing the hidden movement of heat and water below.

The result is a landscape that feels alive and unsettled, a place where the boundary between solid ground and fluid motion begins to dissolve, revealing the dynamic forces continuously shaping Iceland from within.
