Photographed deep in the Icelandic Highlands near the Tungnaá river, this aerial scene reveals the land illuminated by late-summer golden-hour light. In August, the moss reaches its most vivid state, rich, warm, and intensely saturated and under the low sun it glows like molten gold spreading across the dark volcanic landscape.

The branching patterns resemble natural roots or veins, carved by water and shaped by centuries of erosion and lava flows. The warm light softens the rugged terrain, transforming it into a tapestry of organic forms and delicate gradients. From above, the Highland textures become abstract and expressive, turning raw geology into fine-art patterns.

Printed by hand on museum-grade fine-art paper, each print is individually inspected, signed, and numbered. Available in two strictly limited editions:

  • A3 — edition of 10
