Captured deep in the Icelandic Highlands along the Tungnáa river, this photograph reveals a natural formation that seems almost too perfect to be real: a glowing, tree-shaped patch of moss illuminated by a short, brilliant burst of sunlight. Only minutes after photographing Summer Roots, the clouds shifted and a narrow beam of summer light struck this exact point in the landscape, igniting the moss with vivid golden color.

From above, the formation branches out like a living tree growing from volcanic earth, set against the contrasting textures of dark sand and the pale, braided channels of the glacial river. The harmony between light, shape, and geological patterns gives the scene an organic, almost symbolic presence as if the land itself were drawing with light.
